The Word of God plays a very important role in the life of a Christian.
By 'the Word', we mean the Holy Bible - the most read piece of literature in all of history. The record of God's revelations to mankind.
This incredible book helps to shape and define the way we live our lives. It affects our methods of thinking, our attitudes and our behavior, and it can be an open channel to God, with which we can communicate with Him and build the relationship with Him which we were born to have.
The Word is, as a whole, an epic and vastly sweeping story that illustrates our heritage as human beings, starting with the Old Testament and the grand story of creation as well as the birth of the human race. It tells of original sin, and the tragic fall of mankind, the spectacular rise and fall of Israel, and God's incredible plan to bring his children back into a right relationship with Him. It teaches us that, as people, we are all born desperately in need of something. Missing something. Then it carries right through until the New Testament - the time of Jesus, our Savior and God's answer to all of our needs.
On this page, a bible verse or passage is quoted and briefly analyzed. Each post is the writers interpretation of the verse, its meaning, what it teaches, and how it can be applied to our lives.

"And it shall be at that day says the Lord, that you will call Me Ishi, and will no longer call Me Baali."
- Hosea 2:16
In the book of Hosea we see a clear picture of God’s great love and desire for his people. Although we were horribly lost in sin, enslaved to it just like this prostitute who seemed to have no control over her lot in life and no hope for the future, God reached down into our world. With his hands of love and great mercy he did the unimaginable when he lifted us up out of the place of despair and rejection. He drew us to Himself and lavished upon us his great love.
God has given to us all that He has and all that He is.
In this verse the Lord is looking forward to the day when we shall call him
“ Ishi” – “my husband” and no more “Baali” – “My Lord”. In this New Testament time or “Period of Grace” we have the opportunity to know God more intimately and personally as a loving husband who will gently lead and guide us through life.
Romans 5:5 tells us that the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. As we spend time in prayer and seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit on a daily basis, the love of God comes into our hearts and leads us to live for Him. As we reflect on his sacrificial love for us we are compelled to a life of loving service to our heavenly husband.
Christian life is a progressive life. Jesus said in John 15:14 that if we obey His command to love one another, He will call us friends, not servants. If we are friends of God then we become co-heirs with Christ, sharing in His glory. Now that’s a good deal if I ever saw one!

"My Life For God"
- By Manuel Elturk
I have lived & prayed for this moment in life
My life is truly blessed
My pain has come to an end
Thank you lord
My passed has now been then dealt with as I have found peace through all the darkness
Time for a new chapter
My life is crushing beneath my feet
God has left me aside to be broken & mistreated
Am I a victim of despair
Why has my family deserted me again
Why does darkness stay by my side
Where are you god my father
Why is the devil winning this battle
I have surrendered my life to you
Is that not enough to please you
I have no control over this frighting situation
I’m alone & scared for my heart is dying
I want to give up
I can longer handle these issues in front of me
Father God I love you
Is this what you want a life full despair & sadness
I need you god
Hold me
I wish just once I could hug you & not let go
Son, Hold your head high & be proud
I am with you & I trust you
I love you my son
I will not let you go
Jesus will walk in front of you
Do not be afraid my son
My kids are made in God’s image
I will stand by their side
Friend hold me tight as I cry
God, I will keep my heart pure
God is my strength
Jesus walks with me
Even through my imperfections
Lord I surrender my life to you again
Your holy spirit will always feel my heart with grace & happiness
Thank you for being my father & sending your son to die on the cross
My name is for ever engraved on that cross
Thank you lord
Amen
